Majesticare's Team Building away days are a chance for us to come together as family, giggle, create unforgettable memories and have an amazing time together!
Why We Do Team Building
Through a series of fun and demanding challenges, our teams earn points, with the ultimate goal of winning £1,000 to reinvest in their care home family or meaningful charitable cause. This means, at each Team Building Event there's always a lot to play for!

The Location
This year's event was held at the glamorous Hollywood House in Belper, a venue that brought a touch of old-school Hollywood charm. With rooms themed after iconic stars like Humphrey Bogart, Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor, and James Dean, the atmosphere was set for a day of star-studded fun. The venue even featured its own casino, complete with a croupier.

The Activities
Our team-building journey began the night before the big competition. After a warm welcome with drinks and delicious pizzas from a pizza oven van, everyone was ready for the challenges ahead. The next morning, we kicked off with a thrilling game of The Traitors. Each team had a "traitor" whose mission was to secretly sabotage their team's efforts across four challenges. The twist? The winning team was the one with the least points, highlighting the traitor's success in hindering their progress. The reveal was filled with suspense, as teams guessed who the traitor among them was.

After a delightful picnic in the sun, we dived into the next set of activities; Task Master. Teams navigated through a series of physical and mental challenges, testing their teamwork and creativity. The tasks were designed to be both fun and challenging, pushing everyone to think outside the box and work together.

Top Secret Evening Celebrations
The day concluded with an unforgettable evening of celebration. Before the glamourous evening, each team member received a goody bag containing a secret agent name card and a #TopSecret mission for the night. Dressed to the nines in black tie attire, our guests entered a glamorous 007 Casino night.

The evening was filled with excitement, as some enjoyed a glass of prosecco on the balcony, others tried their luck at the casino, and a few discreetly completed their secret missions.
We wrapped up the night with our Team Building awards, celebrating standout participants with titles like "Best Traitor" and "Queen/King of Task Master." It was a perfect end to a day full of challenges, laughter, and bonding, highlighting the special moments that make Majesticare a family.
